When we think of changes in our career we rarely think of who it affects outside of our immediate family, friends, and associates. Procrastination and fear can be causing you to stall or block someone else’s blessings. I truly believe we are all placed on this earth to help certain people. No one can help the individuals you are destined to assist. For example, if I would have never transitioned in my career you would’ve never heard of me nor would my skills be available to assist you.
You may be thinking, “Well Tiffany, my career choice doesn’t directly help people like yours does.” I challenge that thought. Because even if you are a model you are inspiring someone who may have self-image issues. If you are in media you are inspiring someone who may have a similar background as yours to go after their dreams. If you want to open a franchise you are giving someone a job to care for themselves and their family. Or you may be seeking a CEO or COO position in which employees may not have gotten a raise if you didn’t get promoted. I can go on and on and on, but I think I’ve made my point. No matter what you chose to do career wise you are helping someone may it be directly or indirectly.
You may also be thinking, “Tiffany, I am only concerned about myself and my family.” I can totally understand that because my daughter is my first priority. But at the end of the day I get great joy from my career because it gives me a chance to do something for me and I know in my heart I am helping someone, may it be directly or indirectly.
Whatever the case may be someone is unknowingly waiting on you to get a promotion or transition in your career and your life so that they are able to move ahead as well. If you think about it you probably wouldn’t be where you are currently in your career if someone had not moved on. So don’t be selfish! Go after that promotion. Elevate to another sector in your career. And you can even transition to another career if you choose to. Whatever it is don’t waste another day withholding your blessings and someone else’s.
