I never sat and thought about what my most effective productivity strategy actually was because depending on what I’m working on and how much time I actually have I may use a different strategy.
One definite strategy I always use no matter what, is making sure to get the bulk of my work done during my peak hours. For me that is after 9pm. Before I had my baby it was at 8am. I know that is a drastic change, but I had to adjust to my new life and my baby’s needs. As my pregnancy progressed that time changed to 1pm.
As you may have guessed I have a different sleep schedule now and I sleep when my baby sleeps during the day. So when I put her down at night I’m ready to tackle my tasks to reach my goals.
This may not work for you but it definitely works for me. Now this will definitely change back to 8am when I go back to work, because I will need to get my rest at night for work. So as I stated before your strategy may change entirely, or need to be tweaked, as in my case.
So now I ask you, what is your most effective productivity strategy? You probably never thought about it. But once you figure it out I’m sure you will find yourself not only being more productive but also better at managing your time.
Please share. You may have a strategy none of us ever thought of before.
