There are tale, tale signs when you are ready for a change in life, but we usually don’t pay attention to it because we are so consumed with life and trying to make everything work. But what happens when everything isn’t working out. What does it look like? What does it feel like? What is happening around us?
Depending on your lifestyle some things may vary, but as a licensed clinical social worker, and paying attention to my own life changes, some things are the same within us all. So let’s talk about it.
1). You may find yourself being frustrated frequently and you have no idea why. You just feel busted and disgusted. Everything and everyone is getting on your nerves. You may constantly feel like you just want to get away and start over. This is an emotional sign you are ready for a change in some aspect of your life.
2). You feel uninspired. You literally get up each day and do the same routine every day. You go through the motions of the day just to get through but in all actuality you are miserable. This is something you definitely feel once you get to work. You clock in and your motto everyday is “I’m just here for a paycheck.” If this is so, you are ready for a change my dear because you have experienced a physical sign that you are ready for something different.
3). You are starting to feel you are outgrowing the people and places around you. You may even feel that way about yourself. When you get to a certain point in life this is absolutely normal. I see this as growth, maturity if you will. Because that same old scratch don’t relieve that itch anymore. You may find yourself spending more time to yourself just thinking. You may even go through the would’ve, could’ve, should’ve, thoughts. Guess what, it’s time for a change.
If you resonate with one or more of the things stated above it’s time for a change and nothing is wrong with that. My question to you is what are you waiting for? If you don’t know how or where to start let someone help you. There’s no reason to be embarrassed. Be happy you are at this point. Being tired of being sick and tired is one of the most revolutionary parts of our life, because this is when change takes place.
